Plumb was founded by a superintendent and a technologist who met at the intersection of a broken industry and a transformative technology.
The enterprise GCs have McKinsey, Deloitte, and armies of internal innovation teams. Small and mid-size contractors — the firms doing $10M to $150M a year, the ones actually building most of America's buildings — have almost nothing. No dedicated tech staff. No AI strategy. No one showing them how to compete.
Plumb exists to close that gap. We bring field-tested construction expertise and production-grade AI capability to the firms that need it most. We work alongside your team, tie our fees to outcomes, and don't leave until the work is done.
Construction Operations
Donovan is a Certified Construction Manager with over a decade of field experience on some of the most complex projects in the New York metro area — including the Javits Center Expansion, the Brooklyn Clean Energy Hub, the MoMA Tower, and hyperscale data center work for CoreWeave. He has held DOB Site Safety Manager and Superintendent licenses in New York City and brings deep expertise in civil and structural construction, MEP coordination, and mission-critical project delivery.
At Plumb, Donovan leads client engagements and ensures that every recommendation we make is grounded in how construction actually works in the field — not how it looks on a slide deck.
Technology & AI
Stefan is a software engineer and AI practitioner with deep experience building production-grade AI systems. His background spans machine learning, large language model deployment, and the design of agentic workflows that integrate into real-world enterprise environments. He has worked across industries where data quality, reliability, and field usability are non-negotiable requirements.
At Plumb, Stefan leads the technical architecture of every engagement — designing the AI systems, building the custom tooling, and ensuring that what we deploy actually works in the conditions of an active construction project.
